The reply from the skipper came days after Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik told in an ICC Review that Babar Azam can be No.1 batsman in all three fromats of game.

Babar is No.1 is ODIs & T20s
At the moment Babar is already No.1 batsman in ODIs and T20s. In tests Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne is leading the table at No.1 position. Babar is at No.5.

What it needs to be at No.1?
Being at No.1 in all three formats is a dream for a player, which requires focus and hardwork, Babar Said. He said that it needs extra fitness for a player to be at No.1. Because there is back to back cricket with minimum gaps.
Babar Azam told that he is already preparing for it and is hopeful of doing well in red ball cricket.
Speaking to the reporters ahead of a three match ODI series against West Indies, Babar said that he wanted to win the series with clean sweep. And, every team and team would be thining like that, does not matter whom you play with.
WI vs Pak- 3 ODI series
The ODI series vs West Indies was earlier postponed in December 2021 owing to the Covid outbreak. Three matchs will be played on 08, 10 and 12th of June 2022.
The three ODIs of the series are of much importance for both the teams as being the part of Super League. Both teams would aim to win points to appear in top eight spots of Super League points table. And, automatically qualify for the World Cup 2023.
