Babar’s Class and Khushdil’s finish take Pakistan home by 5 wickets– In second T20 Australia beat Srilanka by 3 wickets in a dramatic run chase. Srilanka were right there in the match till end but could not capitalise.

The 2nd T20 match played between Australia and Srilanka was not different from the first T20. The match was once again dominated by the bowlers. It was tough for batting side to play openly.

Srilankan 4 batsman were out on 121

Earlier Australia won the toss and opted to bowl first. Srilankan batsman once again struggled before Australian bowling.

After 14.1 overs Srilanka were 90/4. And after 19 overs Srilanka were 121. In 20th over Srilanka lost its three batsman without adding any run to the total of 121. Finally, srilanaka were 124/9 after 20 overs.

Top scorers from the Srilanka were Asalanka and Kusal Mendis, who made 39 and 36 runs respectively. Kane Richardson was pick of the bowlers for Australia picking up 4 wickest in his 4 overs.

Maxwell took 2 and Jhye Richrdson took 3 wickets.

Dramatic run chase from Australia

The run chase from Australia was pretty similar to the Srilanakan batsman. Openers Aaron Finch and David Warner were out on 24 and 21 runs respectively.

At one point of time Australia were 99/7 after 12 overs. Srilanka was almost took the match away from the visitors. They howeve, could not capitalise in the end.

It was Mathew wade who made an important contributio of 26 runs from equal number of balls. He steers Australia with a 3 wicket win.

Wade for his crucial play of 26 runs received Player of the Match award.
